This building was named after Dr. Margaret Robinson Preska who served as president of then Mankato State University from 1979 to 1992. She also served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Equal Opportunity Officer from 1975 to 1979.
The Preska collection consists of an audio CD and a biographical form for an oral history interview conducted between Preska and Ashley Portra in 2012. In this interview, Preska talks about her career at Mankato State College as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Equal Opportunity Officer from 1975 to 1979 and President from 1979 to 1992.
